hubbardfoss, LLC was founded in the fall of 2008 by Richard Hubbard and Michelle Baden Foss with the primary focus of extraordinary design through various mediums. Metalwork - with steel, stainless, aluminum, copper, bronze and brass - is one of hubbardfoss’ specialties. Every piece that emerges from the hubbardfoss studio is a locally, handmade piece of design.

Since custom design is one of our signature services, we encourage our clients to work as closely as they would like with us throughout the design process as we create everything from railings and stairways, gates and sink consoles to hand-crafted furnishings on their behalf. In addition to our custom architectural work, we offer furniture and accessories that range from mini bars to coffee tables, light fixtures to candleholders and vases. These items can be chosen from our existing lines or we can work to create custom pieces to fit your needs.

Richard Hubbard is an accomplished designer and talented artist. Richard specializes in all types of custom, contemporary fixtures and furniture. Richard's design aesthetic is the foundation for the works we create at hubbardfoss, LLC. He was formerly the principal of Richard Hubbard Design.

Michelle Foss focuses on the business aspects of the studio. Her career began in New York City, where she was a management consultant, and since then she has been instrumental in the retail growth of several international brands. Most recently, Foss started up and sold her own small business in San Francisco.
